I have been drawing and painting animal portraits for over 30 years, and have hundreds of delighted clients across the U.K  and abroad.  I am an avid animal lover,  and this gives me an especially keen interest in my work.

I work mainly in Pastels, but also undertake commissions in a variety of other mediums, such as Pencils, Oils, and Watercolours.

Portraits can be supplied framed, framed and mounted, or unframed.

All I need to produce a beautiful portrait is a good clear  copy of your favourite photo. The photos I work from are  very important, they must be close up, clear, in sharp focus and well posed. I must also have a photo which is as close to the true colour of your animal as possible. Take time to take some really good photographs, as the quality of the resulting portrait will be influenced by the clarity of the photos you send. Digital photos can be emailed to me.  They should be a minimum of 4 mega pixels, and in jpeg format. Scans of old style (not digital) photos are not acceptable as they lose resolution in the scanning process. All original photos received will be returned.

Sadly, sometimes there may be situations when you do not have the opportunity to take any further photo's. In these cases, I will gladly look at what photographs you have and advise you accordingly.

When you order a portrait, I ask that you send a deposit of 50% of the value with your order. If you are not completely satisfied with the completed portrait, your deposit will be refunded in full.

When your portrait is completed, I will send you a photograph of the completed work, together with my invoice.  If you are  happy with the picture, send me payment, and your portrait will be sent on clearance of any cheque.  I want you to be 100% satisfied with your portrait, so if there is anything at any time that you would like to change just let me know.
